When writing reviews for our blog we can understand some readers viewing us as biased because, well, we sell all of the products we’ve written reviews on in our store.
With that being said we pride ourselves on having a high standard for the brands we choose to carry, however, we want to keep these reviews fair and not give any unnecessary praise where it isn’t warranted, if we like a brand or product, we will definitely tell you everything we love about it, just as we will tell you about negatives or things that could be done better for the consumer. That being said let’s talk about Tsunami.
Tsunami wears a lot of different hats when it comes to the variety of products they make. From Glass Bongs to Grinders, Dugouts, and Batteries, there is a lot this does, some things better than others but overall is a very reliable brand at a friendly consumer price point.
Obviously, we won’t go over everything in this review but let’s look at what Tsunami does extremely well.
With glass oftentimes, you either pay a lot of money for something that looks fantastic but oftentimes is made with either very thin glass that breaks easily or has very fragile percolator systems.
Tsunami manages to meet perfectly in the middle with very well-made, reliable glass bongs. We have employees here that have had their Tsunami Bongs for a few years now a still say they love them. With the style of bongs Tsunami claims over 120+ unique glass designs and these designs are very well thought out for what they offer.
For almost any piece similar in complexity and quality you would easily be paying double the price that Tsunami charges for these styles of pieces, which makes them a very affordable and well-made option for anyone looking to upgrade their glass game.
As of writing this review, I have personally owned my Tsunami for over 2 years and it still works just like new, I will say with bongs that have these more intricate percolator systems it is a good idea to invest in a good bong cleaner and some Piece Water or ResBlock to help prevent buildup in your piece. Bong care can go a long way in the longevity of your piece especially depending on how often you use it.
Moving on to Grinders and Dugouts, Tsunami offers a range of different colors in both.
Grinders: Tsunami knocks it out of the park with their grinders, they are a tad on the heavy side but this comes across as more of being a solid grinder rather than being too light, they also feature a concaved top which helps move all of your ground product into the 2nd chamber rather than it all being between the teeth.
Dugouts: When it comes to dugouts there are not a lot of ways we would initially think of to improve the design of them, it’s a box that does its job more or less.
Tsunami finds a way to do this by adding a grinder that will grind your product right into the storage container of your dugout, and if that wasn't cool enough, they also add a cutout on top of the grinder (which magnetically seals to the side of the dugout) that you can place the one-hitter the dugout comes with; in if you happen to be sitting and need to set your pipe down. All in all, a great improvement on the dugout design.
Overall their dugouts are extremely ergonomic and convenient and are also very easy to use on top of being well-made solid pieces we would highly recommend them for any cannabis consumer on the go.
Since we don’t stock all the different types of Tsunami batteries, we will cover their 280mAh Stick batteries, for a pen-style auto-draw these batteries are not bad, they come with a lifetime warranty which can come in handy. Our only complaint is we don’t really see the reason for a stylus since you don’t want all your wax in your cart just sticking to one side leaving a part of the coil exposed. Other than that, these are a great inexpensive battery option.
Tsunami currently offers 2-3 color variants of the batteries
